Tom Corcoran, driver of the No. T1 D&B Motors Rocket, picked up a popular victory at the River Cities Speedway last Friday night, his first at the track since June 4, 2010. The 61-year-old veteran of 47 racing seasons, started on the pole, and lead all twenty laps, while doing a text book job in lapped traffic, which was key to his victory.
Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors MB Custom finished second, Dustin Strand was third in the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium.
Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, and Zach Naastad, in the Q&Z Plumbing & Heating No. Z17 rounded out the top five.
Smith and Odegard Win Six of Eight Out West Dave Smith, driver of the No. 06 Polar Industrial Services Capital, won features at the BMP Speedway in Billings, Montana on July 2nd, and at the Gillette Thunder Speedway in Gillette, Wyoming last Wednesday night, and at the Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, SD last Thursday night. During the stretch, Smith finished no worse than sixth, including five podiums. Rob Odegard, driver of the Dynamic Well Service No. R30 won three races as well. His wins came on July 3rd at the Casper Speedway in Wyoming, last Friday at the Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, and last Saturday night at the BMP Speedway in Billings, Montana. |

Don Shaw continued to be the man to beat at the I-94 Speedway, as he once again parked the Shaw Trucking No. 42S in victory lane. NLRA'ers Kevin Robertson, finished third in the No. 10R Nugget Vending MasterSbilt, Cole Schill was sixth in the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MasterSbilt, Jeff Hapala was eighth in the No. 16S City Parcel Delivery Rocket. Adam Fischer in the No. 30 Northwest Auto Body Rocket, and Erik Robertson in the Joe Rents No 9R finished eleventh and twelfth respectively.
AT the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN on Saturday night, Don Shaw completed a weekend sweep, with Mike Balcaen finishing fourth, Kevin Robertson in sixth, and Erik Robertson ninth. Shaw leads the point standings by 19 at the Viking Speedway, and by 17 markers at the I-94 Speedway.
At the Red River Co-Op Speedway Monday night, Mike Martin picked up his first Late Model win in his No. 55 Reimer Overhead Door Pierce. Strand and Shane Edginton in the No. 4 Performance Auto Victory by Moyer rounded out the podium.
Bill Mooney finished sixth in the No. 2 OMG Candy MasterSbilt, Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond didn't start the feature.
2011 NLRA series champion Ricky Weiss won the Scott Sexton Memorial at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on July 1st. Weiss was second quick in qualifying behind teammate Vic Hill, started on the front row, and inherited the lead after Vic Hill had mechanical issues. Weiss' win was worth just over three thousand dollars.
