NLRA RECAP: GRESETH SWEEPS LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT GREENBUSH

Mike Greseth, driver of the No. 17 Superior Customs Rocket XR1, put himself in prime position to secure his third consecutive series championship over the holiday weekend, winning both features held at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. The victories were Greseth's 16th and 17th series victories in just 55 series starts since his debut in May of 2021. The victories also earned him an 84-point lead heading into Thursday night's season finale during the running of the 'Prelude to the Johnny' at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks which kicks off the John Seitz Memorial weekend.

NLRA EVENT PREVIEW: HOWIE SCHILL MEMORIAL & GOLDEN HAMMER CLASSIC

​Three more big events with big money on the line lie ahead for the Northern Late Model Racing Association this weekend starting Thursday night in West Fargo, ND when the series returns to Red River Valley Speedway for the first of two consecutive nights in memory of former series regular Howie Schill. Following Friday night's $2,404-to-win top prize is handed out, the series will head northwest back to Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND to make up the previously postponed Golden Hammer Classic which will hand $5,000 to the victor.

​This Friday night, July 14th and on Saturday night July 15th, the Northern Late Model Racing Association makes its second and third ever appearances in the state of South Dakota, as the Grand Forks, North Dakota based series will be part of the annual Rumble event held at Aberdeen's Brown County Speedway.

The longest stretch of the season lies ahead for the NLRA and its series regulars this week with four races in as many days, which starts Thursday night with a visit to Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN for a night of racing during the Norman County Fair. The series continues to I-94 emr Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN on Friday and Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday for the 5th annual Golden Hammer Classic. The four race stretch ends Sunday during the Greater Grand Forks Fair at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

The NLRA takes to the track on last time in the month of July on Thursday night at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. This will be the 25th time the series has raced at the historic 3/8ths mile facility, and the second and final time during the series' 25th season.
