The NLRA is set to embark on the busiest stetch of the series twenty anniversary season this week, as four races in five nights lie ahead.
The stretch will feature a return for the first time in eleven years to the Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, ND. The race is scheduled to be the twelfth for the series on the quarter-mile oval on the Ransom County Fairgrounds on Lisbon's west end.
The Northern Late Model Racing Association's 20th season of action will feature 17 big events during this anniversary season. In 1998, the Grand Forks, ND based racing series debuted with four races on its' initial slate of races, setting a foundation that the series continues to build off of today.
The 2017 season will begin on June 16th, as the series will co-headline events at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Both series will make the 80 mile trip south to race together again at the Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo the following night.
