Mike Greseth, driver of the No. 17 Superior Customs Rocket XR1, put himself in prime position to secure his third consecutive series championship over the holiday weekend, winning both features held at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. The victories were Greseth's 16th and 17th series victories in just 55 series starts since his debut in May of 2021. The victories also earned him an 84-point lead heading into Thursday night's season finale during the running of the 'Prelude to the Johnny' at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks which kicks off the John Seitz Memorial weekend.

We're down to the final three events of the 2023 campaign with two of which scheduled for Labor Day weekend as the series will head back to Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN for a double header on this holiday weekend. The races will be the fourth and fifth held at the high-banked Roseau County oval that measures just over one-quarter mile. These races will also be the 42nd and 43rd for the series at the track and will be the 19th and 20th of the series' season which would be the first time the series has run 20 events in a season since 2003, and just the second time that the series has run 20 times in a season in its 26 season history.

It was another great weekend if you were, or still are, a Modified ace, as two of the most impressive additions to the NLRA series in recent years split the weekend. Two-time and defending series champion, and current point leader, Mike Greseth picked up his 14th series win Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, while rookie Tyler Peterson won his fourth and fifth features of the season at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN and Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN.

This weekend sees a stretch of seven races in 15 days come to a close with three more big events scheduled at Minnesota speed plants Norman County Raceway in Ada and Greenbush Race Park bookending a return trip to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

The 2023 NLRA campaign rolls on this Saturday night, May the 27th, at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. Saturday's race, which is also the first of five scheduled visits to the events for the series at the quarter-mile, high-banked Roseau County Oval, will be the 38th visit by the series at the Speedway.

The first comes on Thursday night, June the 30th, the Grand Rapids Speedway in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and includes the second visit this season on Saturday, July 2nd, to the Greenbush race park in Greenbush, Minnesota.

The silver anniversary season for the NLRA continues this Saturday night, June the 11th, at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, Minn. This will be the 34th visit for the series to the quarter-mile, high-banked Roseau County Oval. Saturday also is scheduled to be the first of five events for the series in Greenbush in 2022.

Shane Edginton led all 25 laps en route to his second NLRA feature win Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. The win is Edington's sixth career win with the series, tying him for 14th on the all-time wins list with Pat Doar, Kevin Sexton, and Dale Skytland. Mike Greseth finished second, with Brad Seng third, Ryan Corbett fourth, and Joey Pederson rounding out the top five. The win also puts Edginton just two points back of Greseth for the point lead heading into tonight's race at the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND.

The final month of NLRA action begins this weekend with two races set to be contested. First up is the second and final visit of the 2021 campaign at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN on Saturday night. The scene shifts west to the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND for the first series race at that facility in two year.

Mike Greseth took the lead from Dustin Strand on lap 19, and continued on to his second NLRA series win of the season Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. Greseth previously parked the No. 17 Quality Engines Rocket XR1 in victory lane at the Grand Rapids Speedway in Grand Rapids, MN. Strand finished second, with Cole Schill in third, Shane Edginton fourth, and Bryce Sward in fifth. Edginton was the hard charger, as he went from ninth to fourth. Edginton will also head into the next NLRA event as the series point leader by 22 markers over Greseth. Brad Seng, Sward, and Strand round out the current top five in points. NLRA series action continues on Thursday June 24th at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN.
