Saturday's event in Greenbush is scheduled to be the 33rd visit to the Roseau County speedplant that measures just over one-quarter of a mile. Rookie, and once again, NLRA series point leader Mike Greseth parked the No. 17 Quality Engines Rocket XR1 in victory lane on June 12th. The win in one of his series leading four triumphs this season. Dustin Strand was second in June in the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium SRT, while Cole Schill rounded out the podium in the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom. Shane Edginton in his No. 5E Performance Auto Sniper and Bryce Sward in his Alexandria Appliance Service MB Custom rounded out the top five. Sward will head into the weekend as the most recent series winner, as he led the final 15 laps at the Devils Lake Speedway to score his first career series win last Saturday night. Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, leads all active drivers with four series victories in Greenbush. Tom Corcoran, driver of the D&B Motors No. T1, Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors Victory, and Dustin Strand have two series wins at the track. | Related |
Cole & Troy Schill, driver of the Todd's Electric No. 11 join Ryan Corbett, driver of the No. C4 Corbett Trucking MasterSbilt, and Shane Edginton as one-time series winners at Greenbush. Cole Schill's victory was his first series win in 2016, while Troy Schill's win happened back in 1999.
On Sunday night, the series returns to the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND for the 15th time in series history. Donny Schatz has won the previous two races held at the three-eighths mile oval on the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in the No. 15 Fargo Petro Rocket.
Though this event became un-sanctioned last season due to the pandemic, the event was still held, and it was Cole Schill that scored the win over Brody Troftgruben in his No. 14 Gateway Auto Tech Rocket.
Shane Edginton is the only active driver with the series to finish inside the top five two years ago. Tom Corcoran leads all active drivers with two wins at the 'Playground of Power.' Brad Seng, and Troy Schill have one win each.
Mike Greseth heads into the weekend as the SRT Specialties/TNT Coatings series point leader by 12 markers over Shane Edginton. Brad Seng is third, with Bryce Sward fourth, and Cole Schill rounding out the top five.
Kevin Robertson is sixth in the MLGC No. 10R, with another rookie, Jason Strand seventh in the No. E85 Finley Motors Millenium SRT. Cole Babcock is eighth in the Casselton Lumber No. 2*. Dustin Strand and Steve Anderson, driver of the Pro Mark Services No. 9, round out the current top ten.
