The series visits Norman County Raceway for the 26th time for night two of the Ada Nationals which run during the 128th Norman County Fair. Previous winners during the fair races at Ada include Brad Seng and Dustin Strand, each of whom have two fair wins. Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium SRT, leads all drivers with four previous wins at the three-eights mile oval, including last year's fair race, while Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, has three victories of his own. Seng joins fellow NLRA regular Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom, Don Shaw, Bryce Sward, and Josh Zimple as feature winners at the track this season.
A few other track regulars to look out for are point leader and defending track champion Shawn Meyer, as well as Fergus Falls natives Ben Wolden and Sam Zender who are second and third in points respectively. Schill is fourth, and Dave Mass is fifth.
On Saturday, the series heads west to Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND for the 5th Annual Golden Hammer Classic, paying $5,000-to-win thanks to Walhalla Building Center.
Brody Troftgruben won the series season opener at the track back in May in the No. 14 Lundquist Custom Rocket. John Seng was the winner in regular season action last Saturday night, the first of his career in the Charlie's Public House No. 21S.
Saturday's race is scheduled to be the 32nd at the one-third mile oval which sits just an hour west of Grand Forks. Mike Greseth swept last season's action, winning both series races. Once again, Seng and Strand lead all drivers in wins at the track. Seng has five, while Strand has four, and Greseth and Troftgruben have two victories each.
The four race stretch ends at River Cities Speedway on Sunday evening with the annual running of Sunday at the Fair, which will be live on Midco TV as the series visits the quarter-mile 'Bullring' for the 55th time.
There is yet to be a repeat winner at the track this season, as Tyler Peterson, Cole and Lance Schill, and Dustin Strand have each won a feature at the track this season.
Strand's win was the 101st of his career at the speedway, with all of his wins combined from Late Models, Modifieds, Midwest Mods, Super Stocks, and Street Stocks. Defending Track Champion Joey Pederson leads by just three points over Strand in the track's points standings. Brad Seng, Peterson, and Brody Troftgruben are third through fifth.
In the current series standings heading into the four-race stretch, Mike Greseth leads by 60 points over Shane Edginton and his No 5E Performance Auto Sniper. Brad Seng, Dustin Strand, and Cole Schill are third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
Brody Troftgruben is sixth, with John Seng seventh, and Jesse Teunis eighth with his No. 70 Houde's Excavating MB Custom. Tyler Peterson, driver of the No. 1TPO Quicklift Rocket XR1, and Brandon Corbett, driver of the Forx Radiator No. 00C, round out the current top ten.
