Tom Corcoran, driver of the No. T1 D&B Motors Rocket finished sixth, with Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Winnipeg Hearing Centres MasterSbuilt charging up to seventh from 16th after missing his heat, and was followed home by Jason Storbakken in the Storbakken and Sons Construction No. 16, who finished eighth.
John Halverson, driver of the No. 35 Taco Johns MB Custom, made his comeback from the horrific rollover his suffered last month. Halvorson finished ninth, while Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Pro Mark Services Pierce rounded out the top ten. Teammates Dustin Strand and Zach Naastad tangled on the backstretch on lap two, sidelining the pair of Q&Z Plumbing & Heating entries for the night. Seng, Balcaen, Edginton, and Anderson followed the Storbakken's back to Williston to race at the Basin Speedway in a special event sponsored by Storbakken and Sons Construction. Aaron Turnbull took home the $2,000 check, and was followed by Balcaen second, Seng, a 2010 NLRA winner in Williston, third, and Shane Edginton fourth. Other notables included Steve Anderson, the 2009 NLRA winner at Basin in sixth, and Jason Storbakken seventh. |

At the I-94 Speedway last Friday, Don Shaw was the winner, with Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MasterSbuilt finishing second. Other notables included Kevin Robertson, driver of the No. 10R H. Anderson Concrete MasterSbilt finishing sixth, Jeff Hapala, driver of the No. 16S Auto Solutions Rocket in ninth, Eric Robertson, driver of the Joe Rents.net No. 9R rounding out the top ten.
At the Viking Speedway in Alexandria last Saturday, Jeremy Keller of Mandan parked his No. 11K in victory lane, with I-94 winner Don Shaw finishing second. Other notables included Kevin Robertson finishing seventh, Cole Schill in tenth, and Erik Robertson running eleventh.
River Cities races again this Friday night, in what could be a great field of Late Models as regulars at I-94 once again have the week of at that speedway. The Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg opens up this Saturday night, and S&S Transport has contributed to the purse for the late model portion of the mod nationals at the Viking Speedway in Alexandria. The NLRA season begins in just over two weeks on Saturday night June the 11th at the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND.
