Last Thursday night at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg, Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium, won the feature in his first appearance at the speedway in 2016. Current speedway point leader Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond, finished second to Strand, while Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 Performance Auto Victory finished fourth, and sits four points back of Balcaen for the point lead.
At the River Cities Speedway last Friday night, Dustin Strand backed up his win in Winnipeg, with his third win at the track this season. Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, finished second. The pair will head into this Friday's event tied for the point lead.
Shane Edginton scored his second top five run in as many nights, with his third place run. Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors MB Custom, finished fourth in his return to action, while Mike Balcaen rounded out the top five. |

Steffen Snare, driver of the No. 71S Todd's Electric Bloomquist, Jason Storbakken, driver of the Storbakken & Sons Const. No. 16S, and Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Pro Mark Services Pierce, rounded out the top ten at River Cities last Friday night.
At the I-94 Speedway last Friday night, Brady Johanneck picked up the win, while NLRA regulars Kevin Robertson, driver of the No. 10R H. Anderson Concrete MasterSbilt, and two-time NLRA series winner this season, Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MasterSbilt, ran inside top five, finishing third and fifth respectively.
Jeff Hapala, driver of the No. 16S Auto Solutions Rocket, finished seventh, with Adam Fischer, driver of the No. 30 Northwest Auto Body Rocket, running eighth. Erik Robertson, driver of the Joe Rents No. 9R, ran twelfth, and Cody Skytland, driver of the No. 75 Langdon Implement MasterSbilt was a DNF in 13th.
At the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN on Saturday night, John Kaanta picked up the victory, a win that netted 'the Sheriff' $2,500 dollars. Mike Balcaen finished fifth, with Cole Schill running seventh. Dustin Strand, Steffen Snare, and Jason Storbakken were also in attendance, but did not finish the feature.
