The final month of NLRA action begins this weekend with two races set to be contested. First up is the second and final visit of the 2021 campaign at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN on Saturday night. The scene shifts west to the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND for the first series race at that facility in two year.

Don Shaw in victory lane at Norman County on Thursday night. Speedway Shots photo. Don Shaw won his second NLRA feature of the season Thursday night at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. Shaw started second in his Shaw Trucking No. 42S, and led every lap en route to his 13th career series win, tying him with Mitch Johnson for seventh on the all-time series wins list. His teammate Dave Mass finished second, with Cole Schill third, Jason Strand fourth, and point leader Shane Edginton rounding out the top five. Four-time series winner in 2021 Mike Greseth was the hard charger, coming back from a DNF in his heat race, and finishing seventh after starting in the 23rd and final spot. Edginton will carry a 32 point lead over Brad Seng into Saturday's race at the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND.

This week of NLRA action features a pair of return and final visits for the 2021 campaign at the Norman County Raceway on Thursday night July the 28th and at the Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday night July the 31st.

Shane Edginton parked the No. 5E Performance Auto Sniper in victory lane Friday night, winning the inaugural Howie Schill Memorial at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. The win is Edginton's fifth career NLRA feature win, and first since 2019. Edginton lead lap nine, and the final three laps to pick up the win. Brad Seng and Mike Greseth were also in the thick of it late, as the lead trio fought for the win in the waning laps. Seng was second, with Bryce Sward third, Cole Babcock fourth, and Jason Strand rounding out the top five. Babcock was also the hard charger, as he stormed from the B Main, and the 18th starting spot to improve 14 spots in the main event. Edginton also took the point lead with the victory, and will carry the SRT Specialties and TNT Coatings point leader spoiler into Thursday's race at the Norman County Speedway by 12 markers over Brad Seng.
Full Results Updated Points This Friday night, July the 23rd, the NLRA returns to action at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks to honor one of its own. The series will take to the track in honor of longtime series regular Howie Schill who passed away last December. Howie was the series first ever feature winner at the Victory Lane Speedway in Winnipeg in 1998, and won the first River Cities points title the following year in 1999.

"Super Rookie" Mike Greseth took the lead on lap ten and went on to score his fourth NLRA win of the season Thursday night at the Wayne Anderson Cup at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. Greseth's win also made him the first repeat winner at the speedway this season. Defending series champion Dustin Strand finished second, while Shane Edginton's third place run was enough to jump back into second in the series points. Brad Seng and Cole Schill rounded out the top five. Bryce Sward won the hard charger award, moving up from 20th to ninth. Greseth will keep the SRT Specialties and TNT Coatings point leader spoiler, as he'll carry a 34 point lead over Edginton into the next series race, the Howie Schill Memorial at River Cities on July 23rd.

This Thursday night, July the 8th, the NLRA will be back in action at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks as part of the first night of the inaugural Wayne Anderson Cup. The event will be the 46th at the quarter-mile Bullring, and will honor one of the men that built the track into the success that it is today.

Shaw took the lead from Cole Babcock on lap seven, and continued on to park the Shaw Trucking No. 42S in victory lane. The win broke a tie with Zach Johnson on the series all-time wins list as Shaw now sits alone in eighth on the list. Tyler Peterson wheeled Donny Schatz's No. 15 to a runner-up finish in just his second night in the car. Brandon Fuller and Dustin Strand finished third and fourth respectively, while rookie Jason Strand scored his first top five, finishing fifth. Brody Troftgruben won the hard charger award, improving 15 spots to finish 6th. Mike Greseth's eighth place run was good enough to keep the point lead, which is now ten markers ahead Brad Seng who passed Shane Edginton for second in the standings. Bryce Sward and Dustin Strand complete the top five. NLRA series action continues Sunday night at the River Cities Speedway. The races start at six.

Mike Greseth started second, and lead flag to flag for his third NLRA feature win of his incredible rookie season. Greseth previously parked the No. 17 Quality Engines Rocket XR1 in victory lane with the NLRA at Grand Rapids Speedway and at the Greenbush Race Park. The win also gives Greseth back the point lead, as he'll head into Saturday's 3rd Annual Golden Hammer Classic at the Devils Lake Speedway up four points on Shane Edginton. Brad Seng finished as the runner-up Thursday night, and he'll be just 14 markers back of the lead in the standings heading into Saturday. Pat Doar, Edginton, and Tyler Peterson, making his Late Model debut in the No. 15 Fargo Petro Rocket, rounded out the top five. Cole Schill rebounded from mechanical woes in his heat race to win the hard charger award, as he climbed from 19th to ninth.
