Two of the final three events of the 2021 NLRA season are set to take place this weekend at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on Friday night, and at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Saturday night. Both races will be run alongside the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, while Saturday’s event will also honor Howie Schill, who we lost last December.

Mike Greseth took the lead from Ryan Corbett on lap ten, and went on to win his fifth NLRA feature of the year on Sunday night at the Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon, ND. Greseth's win, in just his fourth month behind the wheel of a Late Model, is now tied with Tom Corcoran and Joel Cryderman on the series all-time wins list. Enderlin native Kevin Robertson finished second, with Corbett third, Bryce Sward fourth, and Dustin Strand rounding out the top five. Greseth's win also helped him cut into Shane Edginton's point lead, as the gap will be 26 heading into Friday's event at the River Cities Speedway, as the series will co-headline with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series for the second time this season.

The first of the final four races of the 2021 NLRA season is coming up this Sunday night, August the 15th, as the NLRA returns to the Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon, ND. The race is scheduled to be the 14th event at the quarter-mile oval on the Ransom County Fairgrounds.

Chad Becker took the lead with two laps remaining and won his first NLRA feature of the season Sunday night at the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND. Becker's win is his fourth with the series, and first since 2019 at the Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon, ND. Cole Schill finished second, with Brody Troftgruben, who led the first 23 laps, finishing third. New point leader Shane Edginton finished fourth, while Magic City native Steven Pfeifer rounded out the top five. Edginton will now carry a 64 point lead into Saturday's race at the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND.

Shane Edginton led all 25 laps en route to his second NLRA feature win Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. The win is Edington's sixth career win with the series, tying him for 14th on the all-time wins list with Pat Doar, Kevin Sexton, and Dale Skytland. Mike Greseth finished second, with Brad Seng third, Ryan Corbett fourth, and Joey Pederson rounding out the top five. The win also puts Edginton just two points back of Greseth for the point lead heading into tonight's race at the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND.

The final month of NLRA action begins this weekend with two races set to be contested. First up is the second and final visit of the 2021 campaign at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN on Saturday night. The scene shifts west to the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND for the first series race at that facility in two year.

Bryce Sward took the lead from Mike Greseth on lap eleven to score his first career NLRA feature win on Saturday night at the Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND. Sward becomes the 56th different winner in series history with his triumph in the Endreson Custom Service No. 1-2, and is the third driver to get their first career win in 2021. Greseth finished second, and in doing so, will carry the SRT Specialties/TNT Coatings point leader spoiler heading into Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park. Cole Schill, Steffen Snare, and Kevin Robertson rounded out the top five. Erik Robertson was the hard charger as he improved eight spots to finish ninth.

Don Shaw won his second NLRA feature of the season Thursday night at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. Shaw started second in his Shaw Trucking No. 42S, and led every lap en route to his 13th career series win, tying him with Mitch Johnson for seventh on the all-time series wins list. His teammate Dave Mass finished second, with Cole Schill third, Jason Strand fourth, and point leader Shane Edginton rounding out the top five. Four-time series winner in 2021 Mike Greseth was the hard charger, coming back from a DNF in his heat race, and finishing seventh after starting in the 23rd and final spot. Edginton will carry a 32 point lead over Brad Seng into Saturday's race at the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND.

Shane Edginton parked the No. 5E Performance Auto Sniper in victory lane Friday night, winning the inaugural Howie Schill Memorial at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. The win is Edginton's fifth career NLRA feature win, and first since 2019. Edginton lead lap nine, and the final three laps to pick up the win. Brad Seng and Mike Greseth were also in the thick of it late, as the lead trio fought for the win in the waning laps. Seng was second, with Bryce Sward third, Cole Babcock fourth, and Jason Strand rounding out the top five. Babcock was also the hard charger, as he stormed from the B Main, and the 18th starting spot to improve 14 spots in the main event. Edginton also took the point lead with the victory, and will carry the SRT Specialties and TNT Coatings point leader spoiler into Thursday's race at the Norman County Speedway by 12 markers over Brad Seng.
