
Two-time and defending series champion Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium, was the only driver to emerge from a late model in victory lane at the speedway last season. Strand won the NLRA series race on August 1st, and the Late Model portion of the Jamestown Stampede last September. Strand's NLRA win last August was his second at the Speedway, his first coming in August of 2012.
Three time Jamestown winner Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, finished second last August, with Cole Schill finishing third in the No. 44 Mid AG Dispatch MasterSbilt. Manitobans Ricky Weiss, driver of the A.I.E. Communications No. 7, and Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 Performance Auto Victory, piloting his own No. 5E, rounded out the top five.
2011 Jamestown winners Mike Balcaen, in the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond and Bill Mooney, in the No. 2 OMG Candy MasterSbilt by JMR, finished sixth and eighth respectively with Tom Corcoran, driving the No. T1 D&B Motors Rocket finishing between them in seventh.
Aberdeen, SD native Josh Skorczewski, in his No. 2S Max & Erma's Rocket, and Matt Aukland, driving the No. 30 Northwest Auto Body Rocket, that is normally piloted by Adam Fischer, rounded out the top ten. Dustin Strand, Brad Seng, Cole Schill, and Matt Aukland were the only four drivers to score top tens during last seasons' NLRA show in August and the at the Stampede in September. |

Brad Seng leads all active drivers with three previous series wins in Jamestown. Dustin Strand's win last August moved him into a tie with Mike Balcaen and Curt Gelling, the trio having scored two previous series wins at the Speedway. In the past 20 series events in Jamestown, the average car count is just under 33, with the most cars entering a series race at the speedway being 42 on June 23, 2007. There were 23 cars in attendance last August. The series lost an event at the Speedway last June as a heavy Thunderstorm soaked the area late in the day at five o'clock. Action begins at seven o'clock Saturday night.

Shane Edginton won the season opener at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg Monday night. Brad Seng won his second feature of the season, this win coming last Saturday night at the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN. Mike Balcaen lead the first 27 laps of Sunday night's race at the Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD, then ran second before suffering a DNF on lap 37 of the 40 lapper. Jeff Provinizino won the race over Wisconsinites Jake Redetzke and Chad Mahder. Cole Schill finished ninth in the race.
