Last season, the series lone visit to Jamestown was held on July 20th, and it was Mike Balcaen picking up the win in the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond. Aberdeen, South Dakota hot shoes Josh Skorczewski and Chad Becker rounded out the podium, while Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Rivinius Ranch MB custom, and Mike Stearns rounded out the top five last July. It was Balcaen's second victory in Jamestown, which is one short of the leading pair of Brad Seng and Dustin Strand, as both drivers have three previous Jamestown wins. Shane Edginton, Bill Mooney, and Zach Naastad, are the only other active drivers with previous wins in Jamestown. Edginton's win was in 2016, as he stole the win from Mike Balcaen in the last corner of the last lap during. Zach Naastad won his first NLRA feature earlier in 2016, winning the June race in the No. Z17 Naastad Acres Millenium SRT. Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lithia Toyota of Grand Forks MasterSbilt by JMR, won the August 2011 visit to Jamestown, beating John Kaanta and Ricky Weiss for the win. Seng is third in the No. 12S Bergstrom Electric MB Custom, with the series inaugural champion Troy Schill fourth with the No. 11 Area Community Credit Union MB Custom. Last Saturday night's winner in Greenbush, Ryan Corbett, rounds out the top five in the No. C4 Dempsey Truck & Trailer Service MasterSbilt.
Blake Anderson is sixth in his sophomore season in the No. 9A Grinch Sales & Service Rocket, with rookie Kreig Kasin seventh in the Kasin Racing No. 47. Steve Anderson in eighth in the No. 9 Spicer Trucking MB Custom, with Dan Dowling ninth in the No. 02 Top Flight Construction Bloomquist, and Jeff Hapala tenth in the No. 16S Graphic Creations MasterSbilt.
