Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium SRT, won his first NLRA feature of the season Sunday evening at the River Cities Speedway during the waning hours of the Greater Grand Forks Fair. The win is Strand's 19th with the series, as the three-time and defending series champion is now one win away from becoming the fifth member of the series twenty win club.

It was a big weekend for two-time series champion Ricky Weiss, driver of the No. 7 Keewatin Truck Service Bloomquist, as he won all three main events contested during the 12th annual John Seitz Memorial weekend at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

For the third time in his career, Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Fargo Petro Rocket, won the NLRA feature, and followed that up with winning the World of Outlaws Sprint Car main event at the River Cities Speedway. The win in the Late Model is his second of the season, and his seventh with the series overall. That puts him in a tie with current series regular Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Mid Ag Dispatch MasterSbilt, and former series champion Troy Olson.

This Saturday night, August the 18th, the NLRA will co-headline for the third and final time this season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND. The race is scheduled to be the eleventh appearance by the series to the third-mile oval on the Red River Valley Fairgrounds.

This Saturday night, August the 4th, the NLRA will make it's only appearance this season at the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND. This is scheduled to be the 23rd visit by the series to the high-banked quarter-mile oval on the Stutzman County Fairgrounds, and the first visit in two years, after last season's visit was lost to rain at five o'clock.

Last weekend at the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN, NLRA point leader Ricky Weiss, driver of the No. 7 Derrick's Sandblasting Bloomquist, and Don Shaw, driver of the No. 42S Sure Step Victory, finished one-two both nights, with Weiss taking the opening night, and Shaw coming out victorious on Sunday.

This Saturday night, August the 26th, the NLRA will race the eleventh event of the series 20th anniversary season, returning for the second and final time this season to the high-banked quarter-mile Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN.

(August 23, 2017) – Tonight, Red River Valley Speedway plays host to the best Late Model drivers in the upper Midwest as the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) takes on the semi-banked three-eighths mile clay oval. The event, which is presented by The Forum, Bernie’s Wine & Liquor, Corwin Automotive, and Inland Truck Parts & Service, will mark the first and only appearance of the season by the 650+ horsepower, full bodied machines.
