The busy month of August continues this weekend for the NLRA, and its' series regulars with a return trip to the River Cities Speedway, and its' lone trip this season to the Devils Lake Speedway.
Friday night, August the 16th, the NLRA makes its' second appearance of the season at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors Mars MB Custom has three wins at the speedway this season, including the NLRA series race on June 21.

Other drivers with wins at River Cities this season include Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport Mars MB Custom has two wins, Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71S Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium, Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Quaker Steak & Lube Rocket, and Pat Doar of New Richmond, WI, the latter three owning one victory a piece. Dustin Strand finished second in the NLRA event on June 14th, Chris Olson of Hibbing, MN placed 3rd, Tom Corcoran, driver of the No. T1 D&B Motors Rocket finished fourth after starting 14th, and Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Northstar Canada Victory Circle rounded out the top five. Brad Seng was the hard charger finishing 8th after starting 19th. Racing starts at 7:30 pm Friday night, as the NLRA will once again be a companion division to the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.
On Saturday night, August the 18th, the NLRA will make its' 14th appearance at the Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND. The NLRA's only rain out of the season so far was the then scheduled season opener at the speedway on May 18th. Mike Balcaen has three series wins in Devils Lake, while Brad Seng is the only other active series regular with a prior victory at the speedway. Ricky Weiss won last years' event, while Balcaen, Seng, Tommy Thompson, Dustin Strand completed the top 5. Steffen Snare, driver of the No. 71 Todd's Electric Swartz was the hard charger finishing sixth after starting 22nd. Dustin Strand has already scored a feature win at Devils Lake this season behind the wheel of his Modified back on June 22nd. Racing starts at 7pm on Saturday night.

Joey Pederson remains in the third spot, while Mike Balcaen, and Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 freehearingtest.ca Rocket complete the top five. Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Hi-Per-Flex Panel Systems Pierce is sixth, with Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Forks Finest Auto Body Victory Circle sitting in seventh. Cole Schill is eighth, Billy Michaelsohn, driver of the No. 8 Dave's West Fargo Tire Rayburn has the ninth spot, and Zach Johnson, driver of the No. 73 of the Midwest Grain Systems Pierce, rounds out the top ten.
