Q&Z Plumbing Millenium teammates Zach Naastad and Dustin Strand finished sixth and seventh respectively, while Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Jiffy Lube MB Custom, Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 Noble Locksmith Victory by Moyer, and Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Rivinius Ranch MasterSbilt by JMR rounded out the top ten.
Former NLRA Regular Wins In Tennessee
Four-time Wissota National champion Ricky Weiss of Headingley, Manitoba, won the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals at the Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee last Friday night. Weiss timed fifth quick, and worked his way up from the third row, beating Brandon Overton for the win that was worth four-thousand dollars.
Racing action continues this week with the season opener at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg. The River Cities and I-94 Speedways race again on Friday night, while the Viking Speedway races again on Saturday night.
The 20th season of NLRA competition opens on Friday night, June the 16th, at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND alongside the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
