Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 Performance Auto Victory, won the Golden Hammer Classic at Devils Lake on June 1st. Edginton chased down race long leader Dustin Strand, and his No. 71 Walhalla Builders Millenium SRT, on lap 26 to score the victory. Cole Schill was third on June 1st in the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom, with Brad Seng fourth in the No. 12S Bergstrom Electric MB Custom. Estevan, Saskatchewan native, Aaron Turnbull, rounded out the top five in the No. 21 Mack Auction MB Custom. Along with Edginton, Seng, Chad Becker, and Ryan Kereluk, have wins in weekly competition in the four races contested at the Speedway in 2019. Chad Becker won the season opener on May 25th, with Seng winning on June 29th, and Kereluk winning the second feature of his rookie campaign on July 13th, after a win at the Red River Co-Op Speedway in Winnipeg on June 20th. Seng is the point leader at Devils Lake by 46 over defending track champion Brody Troftgruben and his No. 14 R&R Dirt & Gravel. Travis Robertson is third in the No. 1R Tires Plus MasterSbilt, with Jesse Teunis fourth in the No. 70 Grand Prix Amusements MasterSbilt, and Blake Anderson rounds out the top five in the No. 9 Grinch Sales & Service MB Custom.
Three-time and defending series champion Dustin Strand has a 26 point lead in the NLRA standings over Shane Edginton heading into the weekend. Brad Seng is third, with Brody Troftgruben fourth, and Mike Balcaen rounding out the top five.
Cole Schill is sixth, with Jesse Teunis seventh, Ryan Corbett eighth, Ryan Kereluk ninth, and Tom Corcoran rounding out the top ten with his No. T1 Forks Finest Auto Body & Wash MB Custom.
