Last season at the Viking Double, Ricky Weiss, driver of the No. 7 Derrick's Sandblasting Bloomquist, and Don Shaw, driver of the No. 42S Shaw Trucking Victory, split the weekend. Weiss won Saturday's race, while Shaw scored the victory on the Sunday portion of the double. Both drivers also scored second place runs on the night the other won at last season's Double. Weiss' win put him closer to clinching his second series title, while Shaw's win put him closer to winning the Wissota National Championship. Both drivers went on to clinch those respective titles. Weiss and Shaw also split this season's Memorial Day double header with the Wissota Challenge Series at the Speedway. The most recent NLRA winner is Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 General Signs Victory, who picked up his first win in two years last Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. Edginton scored a third place finish on Saturday and a fourth place run on Sunday at last season's Double Header. | Dustin Strand will take a slim 16 point lead into the weekend.
