This Saturday night, August 15th, the series will try, for the third time this season, to race at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. This will be the 31st event at the high-banked Roseau County oval that measures in at just over a quarter-mile.
Last August, Greenbush became the third track in series history to host the club at least 30 times, joining the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN (45 races), and the River Cites Speedway in Grand Forks, ND (42).

This is the third time the series will attempt to race at Greenbush this season, as the first date on June 13th was scrubbed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the July 4th event was lost due to rain.

Last season at Greenbush, a rain out also cancelled the first scheduled appearance in June, but the series did get to run the July and August dates.

Last season, on July 27th, it was Joey Pederson parking the No. 7P Olson Underground Victory in victory lane, defeating Dustin Strand for the win.

The series third and final scheduled visit to Greenbush for the 2019 campaign was on August 24th, and it was Dustin Strand, driving the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium, that lead every lap from the pole to score the win.

Strand held off Shane Edginton, and his No. 4 Performance Auto Victory, in traffic in the latter stages of the race, lapping up to eighth in a green-white-checkered affair, that lasted just over six minutes.

Three-time series champion, Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, leads all active drivers with four wins at Greenbush. Seng won his 39th series feature two weeks ago at the River Cities Speedway, and will look to become the first series driver to hit the forty win mark, with a fifth Greenbush win on Saturday.

Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond, has three wins at Greenbush, while Pederson and Strand joined Tom Corcoran, driver of the No. T1 Greg's Lawn Care MB Custom, as series regulars with two Greenbush victories. One of Corcoran's wins includes the series inaugural visit in 1998.

Three other NLRA drivers have a single victory at Greenbush. Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom, won his first series feature at the track in 2016. Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Todd's Electric MB Custom, won the series second visit in 1999, a win that helped him win the series title that year. And finally, Shane Edginton, who won the final visit of the  2018 season.

Unfortunately, Balcaen and Edginton, along with Jesse Teunis, Ryan Kereluk, Bill Mooney, and Dave & Matt Smith, will be unable to join us, again due to border restrictions.

Dustin Strand will head into Greenbush with a 56 point lead over Brody Troftgruben. Troftgruben is coming off his first career NLRA feature at the Devils Lake Speedway two weeks ago in the No. 14 Gateway Auto Tech Rocket. Brad Seng is third, with Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Pro Mark Services MB Custom, and Troy Schill rounding out the top five.

Racing is scheduled to begin at seven on Saturday night. For more information, visit our Tracks page, or log on to greenbushracepark.com.
