The series participation in the McNaught Cup at Dead Horse Creek Speedway in Morden, Manitoba was lost to rain last weekend leaving the series with just one completed race so far in 2024. Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Longhorn, remains the most recent series winner, collection his 30th series win on May 11th at the season opener at Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND.
As for River Cities, it's been the same as just one week of weekly competition has been put in the history books driver and it was Brody Troftgruben winning the opener on May 10th in the No. 14 Gateway Auto Tech Longhorn.
I-94 is the only track that has dodged the rain so far as they were scheduled for an off night last week but have completed four shows so far this season. Tyler Peterson leads the way at the three-eighths mile oval scoring two wins in those four nights including the opener on May 3rd. Shane Sabraski and Cole Searing also have wins at I-94 so far this year.
Peterson leads the weekly standings heading into Saturday's King of the Dirt by 17 markers over Cole Schill and his No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom.
Saturday will be the first of two visits this month to Fergus Falls and the series will be led into battle by Brad Seng and his No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom after sweeping last season's pair of visits including last year's King of the Dirt.
This season's King will take home $2,090-to-win after crossing under the checkers first on Saturday night, which will be the seventh visit to I-94 in series history.
