The NLRA season is set to invade the Jamestown Speedway, in Jamestown, ND, for the 20th time in series history on Saturday night, June the 13th. The quarter-mile oval on the Stutzman County Fairgrounds is a favorite of many the NLRA series regulars, and it returns to the NLRA schedule for two races in 2015. Two-time, and defending NLRA series champion Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom won last years' event in Jamestown, his first since 2003, and third overall, and finished runner-up to Jeff Wildung at the 43rd running of the Stampede last September.
Jeremy Keller in the No. 11K Skinner's Rolloff Service MB Custom, and Shane Edginton in the No. 5E Avonlea Group Victory Circle finished second and third last August respectively, while 2013 NLRA Champion Dustin Strand, driving of the Q&Z Plumbing & Heating No. 71 finished fourth after starting 23rd, while his teammate Zach Naastad, in the Q&Z Plumbing & Heating No. Z17 rounded out the top five.
Runner-up in Alexandria on May 23rd, Cody Skytland, driver of the No. 75 Langdon Implement MastersBuilt by JMR, finished sixth in Alexandria last August, and has one previous NLRA series victory in Jamestown, that coming in 2010. Two-time series winner in Jamestown Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Northstar Canada Black Diamond, was seventh last August, with last Fridays' winner at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Kevin Robertson, in the No. 10R H. Anderson Concrete Placement MasterSbilt finishing eighth. Series regulars, and West Fargo natives Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Rivinius Ranch MasterSbilt by JMR, and Norm Olson, in the No. 29 Disabled American Veterans MasterSbilt rounded out the top ten. Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 OMG Candy MasterSbuilt by JMR, and Dustin Strand are the only other active series regulars, besides Seng to post victories at Jamestown. Racing starts at 7pm Saturday.
