NLRA Event Preview - Greenbush Race Park

​This Saturday night, July the 15th, the NLRA will, once again, try to visit the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. The race is scheduled to be the 25th race in series history in Greenbush, is also scheduled to be the series third race on the newly reconfigured high banked oval that measures at just over a quarter-mile.

The NLRA has had a hard time, to say the least, trying to get races in in Greenbush. Since the track reopened in 2013, the NLRA has been rained out there three times in seven attempts. Not only that, but these weren't obvious rainouts from the morning on. Most, if not all, the rainouts have seen the NLRA drivers, and their crews and families, unload their cars, just to have to reload them shortly afterward, due to rain.

Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Gateway Chevrolet MasterSbilt by JMR, lead all 25 laps en route to winning his first NLRA Feature at the track last June. Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, won the July race in Greenbush last season, his third overall at the track.

Dustin Strand has won the only two completed NLRA shows thusfar, winning both the makeup feature from June 16, and the regularly scheduled program, both on June 30. That performance puts Strand atop the point standings by 16 over Ricky Weiss and Donny Schatz. Bill Mooney and Joey Pederson round out the top five.
