This Saturday night, July the 25th, the NLRA returns for the second and final time this season to the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, won his second NLRA feature of the season, and his second overall at the three-eights mile oval during the NLRA series first stop this season, and first event in nearly four years at Greenbush on June 20th. Seng lead the final three laps after chasing down race long leader Ricky Weiss in traffic. Seng will head into Greenbush having won two of the last three NLRA series events, including last Saturday nights' outing at the Devils Lake Speedway.
Weiss, driving the No. 7 Derrick's Sandblasting Bloomquist finished second on June 20th, with Dustin Strand, driver of the Q & Z Plumbing & Heating No. 71 third, Cody Skytland, driver of the No. 75 Langdon Implement MasterSbuilt by JMR fourth, and Shane Edginton, in the No. 5E Avonlea Group Victory Circle, rounding out the top five. Mike Balcaen, in the No. 10 Northstar Canada Black Diamond, and Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors MB Custom finished sixth and seventh respectively, while John Halvorson, driver of the Taco Johns No. 35 finished eighth, with Dusty Peterson, driver of the Precision Lawn Car & Landscape No. 1 ninth, and Steffen Snare, in the No. 71S High Mark Snomobile Rentals Bloomquist, rounding out the top ten. Snare was the hard charger, gaining ten spots after starting in the 20th and final starting spot. Strand, Balcaen, and Weiss won the heats. 20 cars were in attendance.
Three-time NLRA champion Mike Balcaen leads the NLRA point standings with a twelve point advantage over 2013 series champion Dustin Strand. Defending series champion Brad Seng sits in the third spot, just 30 points behind the lead duo, while Steffen Snare and Ricky Weiss round out the top five. Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Hi-Per-Flex Panel Systems Pierce is in the sixth spot, with Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Rivinius Ranch MasterSbuilt by JMR seventh, Jeff Hapala, driver of the No. 16S Auto Solutions Rocket eighth, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 OMG Candy MasterSbuilt by JMR ninth, and Norm Olson, driver of the No. 29 Disabled American Veterans MasterSbuilt rounding out the top ten.
