After a rainout of the first scheduled appearance at Greenbush in June, the series did get the July date in, and in was Joey Pederson parking the No. 7P First Community credit Union Victory in victory lane on July 27. Pederson started on the pole and led each of the twenty-five laps to score his first NLRA feature win in four years. He was the second member of the family in victory lane that night, as he and his son Tucker won the Street Stock feature. Dustin Strand moved the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium SRT past Mike Balcaen and Bill Mooney for second after a late restart on July 27. Mooney rounded out the podium in the No. 2 Lithia Toyota of Grand Forks MasterSbilt by JMR, while Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond, and Ryan Corbett in the No. C4 Jess Rice Crary Realty MasterSbilt rounded out the top five last month at Greenbush. Three-time series champion, Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom, leads all active drivers with four wins at Greenbush. 1991 Greenbush champion Mike Balcaen has three wins at Greenbush, including one last season, which was his first at the speedway in a decade. | Joey Pederson was the winner at Greenbush on July 27. Four other NLRA drivers have a single victory at Greenbush. Those drivers include the uncle-nephew duo of Troy and Cole Schill. Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Todd's Electric Black Diamond, won the series second visit in 1999, a win that helped him win the 1999 series title.
Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom, won his first ever NLRA feature at the Speedway in 2016.
Dustin Strand, and Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 Performance Auto Victory, joined the list last season, as Strand was the winner last June, while Edginton won the third and final appearance of 2018 last August.
The series championship will likely come down to the wire, once again, as Edginton, Seng, and Strand will head into the weekend separated by no more than fifty markers.
Brody Troftgruben, driver of the No. 14 R&R Dirt & Gravel Rocket, and Mike Balcaen round out the top five.
Jesse Teunis is sixth with the No. 70 Houde's Excavating MasterSbilt, with rookie Ryan Kereluk, who will be marking a year since his NLRA debut at Greenbush this weekend, currently in seventh with the No. 29K Avonlea Group Victory.
Ryan Corbett is eighth, with Tom Corcoran ninth, and Cole Schill rounding out the top ten.
Racing is scheduled to begin at seven on Saturday night. For more information, visit our Tracks page, or log on to greenbushracepark.com
