In the two previous visits to the Bullring thus far this season, Donny Schatz and Dustin Strand have been the victors. Schatz's win in the No. 15 Fastlane Car Wash Rocket came on June 7th, as the series shared the spotlight with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Three-time and defending series champion Dustin Strand was best in show during Sunday at the Fair on June 23rd. Strand lead all 25 laps in the No. 71 Generations Salon Millenium SRT for his first series victory of 2019. In weekly competition at the Speedway at the midway point of the 2019 season, Dustin Strand has the most wins, as he's currently batting .500. Strand has won four of the eight Late Model features contested this season. Along with Schatz and Strand, Joey Pederson, Cole Schill, and Brad Seng, have one triumph each this season at River Cities. Pederson parked the No. 7P Big Jim's Tire Victory in victory lane on opening night on May 17th. Schill and his No. 44 Rivinius Ranch MB Custom came out on top on May 31st, his first win at the Speedway since his first win at the Speedway, which came during a make-up feature that was completed on July 26, 2013. | Shane Edginton is the current NLRA and River Cities point leader. Dustin Strand is third, with Joey Pederson fourth, and Tom Corcoran rounding out the top five in the No. T1 Greg's Lawn Care MB Custom.
In the current NLRA standings, it's still Edginton on top, this time with a slim eight marker advantage over Dustin Strand.
