“We’ve got a pretty convenient location with easy access for somebody who would be coming in with a semi or a big hauler,” said Performance Auto parts specialist Trevor Mell. “We’ll have parts stocked for everything from Sprint Cars, Late Models, Lightning Sprints, Go-Karts, Street Stocks and Modifieds, as well as street rod parts and accessories.”
The main objective for the new Performance Auto location is convenience for the drivers.
“We work with all of the vendors. Performance Bodies, DMI, Winters, and more along with all of the big manufactures so we are very competitive on pricing,” continued Mell. “We are also a dealer for Victory by Billy Moyer so we can get a chassis for you and any part that you might need.”
Furthermore, Performance Auto will have a parts trailer in the pit area each and every Friday night at River Cities Speedway.
“That will basically be a mini Performance Auto store at the track. We’ll have everything you would need at the track - oil, tear-offs, gaskets, fuel - just to name a few.”
Hours for the Grand Forks location are Monday-Thursday 9:00am-6:00pm, Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm.

About Performance Auto:
Performance Auto was founded in 1981 by Rodney and Margeret Harris to help area racers in the Red River Valley.
While the main focus has centered on circle track dirt track racing parts, Performance Auto has helped drag racers, street performance, and kart racers stay on track with various performance parts and safety equipment.
In December of 2006, Area racing supporters Jake and Sharnel Bitker acquired Performance Auto from the Harris’ and continued to operate from the location on Main Avenue.
Hoping to better serve the growing customer base, in the winter of 2011-2012 Performance Auto moved to its current location at 3401 ½ Interstate Blvd. The location features a larger showroom as well as a warehouse full of products to help serve area speed enthusiasts.
To help area dirt track racers stay on track, a stocked trailer visits area tracks throughout the summer, a tradition first started by Rodney and Margeret Harris.
An online store was launched a few years ago to help racers purchase various products without leaving the comfort of home. Now entering 35 years of service, Performance Auto will continue to serve area racers and performance enthusiasts for years to come.
