NLRA points leader Brad Seng has collected his fifth win of the 2014 season during Saturday nights' visit to the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND. The win is also Seng's 25th career series triumph putting him one win away from tying John Seitz on the all time wins list. Seng is also the first driver since 2004 to win five NLRA features in one season. John Seitz won a series record seven times during the 2004 season.
Seng took the lead from Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 5E Avonlea Group Victory Circle on lap six and lead the remaining 19 laps. Jeremy Keller finished second, with Shane Edginton third. Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71S Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium finished fourth after starting 19th, collecting hard charger honors. Strand's teammate Zach Naastad, driver of the No. Z17 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium rounding out the top five.
Cody Skytland, driver of the No. 75 Langdon Implement MasterSbuilt was sixth, with Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Northstar Canada Victory Circle finishing seventh, and Kevin Robertson in eighth. Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Rivinius Ranch Rocket and Norm Olson, driver of the No. 29 BM Transport MasterSbuilt rounded out the top ten. Naastad, Seng and Edginton were heat winners, 23 cars were in attendance.
Seng increased his point lead to 100 over Mike Balcaen. Defending series champion Dustin Strand third, with Ricky Weiss and Shane Edginton rounding out the top five respectively. Cole Schill is sixth, with Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lithia Toyota/Pizza Ranch Rocket in seventh, and Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Hi-Per-Flex Panel Systems Pierce eighth. Pat Doar and Norm Olson round out the top ten. The NLRA's next scheduled races are at the River Cities Speedway on Friday night August the 15th, and on Saturday night August the 16th.
