Weiss won his second NLRA series feature of the season at the Viking Speedway on Saturday night. Weiss and Jeff Wildung battled for the lead early until Wildung broke while running second on lap 17.
On night two, Wildung, driving the No. 50 Veit Companies Rocket, started on the pole, and lead all 25 laps en route to his second NLRA series triumph of the season. Weiss finished second and was followed to the line by Zach Johnson in third, Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Northstar Canada Victory Circle fourth, and Brad Parson, completing the top five. Eric Breeschoten finished sixth, clinching the Viking Speedway track title. Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport Mars MB Custom finished seventh, with Don Shaw in eighth, Steffen Snare, driver of the No. 71 High Mark Snowmobile Rentals Bloomquist ninth, and Steve Anderson rounding out the top ten. Shaw was the hard charger, passing nine cars from his original 17th place starting spot. Zach Johnson, Balcaen, and Wildung were the heat winners. 21 cars returned for night two.
Brad Seng leads the NLRA point standings heading into the final race with a 104 point advantage over Mike Balcaen. Ricky Weiss sits in the third spot, while Steve Anderson and Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Rivinius Ranch Rocket, round out the top five. Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71S Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium holds the sixth spot, with Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 5E Avonlea Group Victory Circle in seventh, Norm Olson, driver of the No. 29 BM Transport MasterSbuilt in eighth, Steffen Snare in ninth, and Pat Doar rounding out the top ten.
