
Pat Doar raced from eighth to second in his heat race, started fourth in the feature and was the leader by lap four. Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport Mars MB Custom reeled Doar in late in the event, but fell just short by .0134 of a second at the finish. Wisconsin natives AJ Diemel, Adam Hensel, and Chad Mahder rounded out the top five. Brent Larson, Steve Laursen, Jake Redetzke, Jeff Wildung, and John Kaanta rounded out the top ten respectively. Redetzke finished fourth in his B Main, and charged from the 26th starting spot to finish in the eighth spot.
Don Shaw of Ham Lake, MN captured the pole for the main event on Saturday night after winning the 20 lap "Go Hard or Go Home" pole dash. It was an extra special victory for Shaw who said after the race, "John was my brother-in-law, and my best friend. This would be a special win." AJ Diemel, Zach Johnson, Brad Seng, and Jeff Wildung rounded out the top five. Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors Mars MB Custom was sixth followed by previous night victor Pat Doar in seventh. Brent Larson, Jake Redetzke and Jeff Provinzino completed the top ten. Wildung, Diemel, defending Seitz champion Brady Smith, Shaw and Seng were winners of the 15 lap heat races. Shaw won the Modified feature as well. 45 cars were in attendance.
Don Shaw lead the first eight laps from the pole, but Wissota national point leader Zach Johnson took the point on lap eight. Johnson lead the next seven laps until AJ Diemel took the top spot on lap 16. Diemel, Johnson, Brad Seng, Shaw and Joey Pederson made up the top five at the lap 32 fuel stop. When racing resumed Seng took second from Zach Johnson and set his sights on leader AJ Diemel. It took Seng 20 laps, but he reeled in Diemel and took the lead on lap 53. Seng lead the final 39 laps, and held the lead late in lap traffic to win his second John Seitz Memorial. AJ Diemel finished as the runner up for the second straight year. Zach Johnson, Jeff Wildung, and Jeff Provinzino rounded out the top five. 2009 Seitz champ Pat Doar was sixth, with Adam Hensel seventh, and Joey Pederson in eighth. Wisconsin racers Chad Mahder and John Kaanta rounded out the top ten.
Other NLRA regulars that qualified for the main event were Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Northstar Canada Victory Circle finishing 16th, Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 freehearingtest.ca Rocket finishing 17th. Steve Anderson, driver of the No. 9 Hi-Per-Flex Panel Systems Pierce earned the final transfer spot in his B Main by .184 of a second over Rick Schroeder, but was unable to finish the main event, finishing in the 21st position and 52 laps of the race. Dustin Strand's race ended at the fuel stop after damage from an earlier incident was to much to overcome, relegating him to 22nd. Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Forks Finest Auto Body Victory Circle was running 11th when his car broke on lap 15. He was running as high as 9th during those 15 laps, finishing 25th. Balcaen and Kaanta won the B Mains. 42 cars completed the weekend.
Dustin Strand won the point title over Brad Seng by 24 points. Joey Pederson finished 3rd, with Mike Balcaen 4th and Bill Mooney rounding out the top five. Steve Anderson finished 6th. Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Quaker Steak & Lube Rocket was 7th. Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Forks Finest Auto Body Victory Circle was 8th. Billy Michaelsohn, driver of the No. 8 Dave's West Fargo Tire Rayburn was 9th. Norm Olson, driver of the No. 29 BM Transport MasterSbuilt rounded out the top ten.
