Peterson has already banked more cash this month as he is the most recent NLRA series winner, taking home $5,000 after last Saturday's 6th Annual Golden Hammer Classic at Devils Lake Speedway.
It won’t be easy for any NLRA regular this weekend, not just from a standpoint of not having many laps at Brown County, but the fact that the speedway has a strong group of local runners that contend for wins wherever they run.
Multi-time WISSOTA National Champion Chad Becker leads the points at his home track and has two wins in Aberdeen so far this season. Jayson Good is second in points with Gelling third. The standings also show the likes of Dustin Arthur, Josh Skorczewski, and Kent Arment who will likely be contenders this weekend.
Another NLRA regular that fared well at The Rumble was Brody Troftgruben, driver of the No. 14 Lundquist Custom Longhorn, as he scored two top fives, finishing fifth and fourth respectively.
This will also be one of the richest purses in series history as Friday night's event will pay the winner $2,566 with $300 to start. Saturday's winner will take home $6,660 with the main event paying $500 to start.
Cole Schill will head into the weekend as the series points leader. The driver of the No. 44* Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom leads by 62 over four-time series champion Dustin Strand and his No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Longhorn. Brad Seng is third in the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom with Shane Edginton fourth in the Red River Messenger Courier No. 5E and Rusty Kollman fifth in the No. 2RK Kollman Furnace Repair MB Custom.
Racing starts at seven on both nights and includes racing for the Street Stock Tour. If you can't make it out, make sure to tune into DRC.TV. For more information visit browncountyspeedway.org
