Four races have been run at this season at River Cities, with Joey Pederson, driver of the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors Victory, winning the season opener on May 17th. Pederson lead all twenty laps, holding off Brad Seng and the No. 12S Envision Ag MB Custom, by a half-second for the victory for the 2019 led lifter at the speedway. Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom, was the winner on May 31st. Schill also lead all twenty circuits, and was followed by runner up Shane Edginton, driver of the No. 4 Performance Auto Victory, for the win. Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Fastlane Car Wash Rocket, won the NLRA portion of World of Outlaws night on June 7th. For the third week in a row, Schatz lead the entire race, leading all 25 laps, holding off a hard charging Joey Pederson in lapped traffic for the victory. Dustin Strand, Donny Schatz, and Ricky Weiss lead all drivers with five previous series wins in Grand Forks. Joey Pederson has four wins a piece, while Brad Seng has three previous tallies at the Bullring.
Four-time track champion Joey Pederson will head into Friday night as the track point leader. NLRA point leader Shane Edginton is second, just eight markers behind Pederson. Brad Seng is third, eleven points back of the lead, while Strand and Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lithia Toyota of Grand Forks MasterSbilt by JMR, round out the top five early on this year.
Shane Edginton heads into the weekend as the NLRA point leader. He leads by 44 markers over defending series champion Dustin Strand. Brad Seng is third, while Bill Mooney and Brody Troftgruben, driver of the No. 14 Applegren Construction Rocket, round out the top five.
Ryan Corbett is sixth with his No. C4 Corbett Trucking MasterSbilt, with Mike Balcaen seventh, and Jesse Teunis, driver of the No. 70 St. Andrews Towing MasterSbilt, in eighth. Ryan Kereluk, driver of the No. 29K Avonlea Victory, and Troy Schill, driver of the No. 11 Area Community Credit Union Black Diamond, complete the top ten.
