NLRA Event Preview - River Cities w/the WoO; King of the Dirt at I-94

This weekend, the NLRA season springs back into action with another pair of marquee events. On Friday night, the series competes alongside the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND before heading down for the first of two visits this month to I-94 emr Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN for the Dick Johanneck Memorial King of the Dirt.

NLRA Event Preview - Greenbush and Nodak

The final month of NLRA action begins this weekend with two races set to be contested. First up is the second and final visit of the 2021 campaign at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN on Saturday night. The scene shifts west to the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND for the first series race at that facility in two year.

This week of NLRA action features a pair of return and final visits for the 2021 campaign at the Norman County Raceway on Thursday night July the 28th and at the Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday night July the 31st.

Don Shaw Wins Golden Hammer Classic

Don Shaw won his 12th career NLRA feature Saturday night at the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND. Shaw took the lead from Cole Babcock on lap seven, and continued on to park the Shaw Trucking No. 42S in victory lane. The win broke a tie with Zach Johnson on the series all-time wins list as Shaw now sits alone in eighth on the list. Tyler Peterson wheeled Donny Schatz's No. 15 to a runner-up finish in just his second night in the car. Brandon Fuller and Dustin Strand finished third and fourth respectively, while rookie Jason Strand scored his first top five, finishing fifth. Brody Troftgruben won the hard charger award, improving 15 spots to finish 6th. Mike Greseth's eighth place run was good enough to keep the point lead, which is now ten markers ahead Brad Seng who passed Shane Edginton for second in the standings. Bryce Sward and Dustin Strand complete the top five. NLRA series action continues Sunday night at the River Cities Speedway. The races start at six.

Strand And Mikkelson Split NLRA Weekend

Dustin Strand and Ryan Mikkelson split the pair of NLRA races run last weekend at the Sure Step I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN and at the Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN. Strand's win was his twenty-fifth win with the series, while Mikkelson became the second first time winner with the series on Sunday night.

This Friday night, July 31st, the series will take to the River Cities Speedway for the first time in 2020. This is scheduled to be the 43rd series race held at the quarter-mile "Bullring" on the Greater Grand Forks Fairgrounds. This Friday's date was scheduled to be the third series race of the 2020 campaign, but the first two were lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

NLRA Event Preview - Return To Norman County

This Thursday night, July 30th, the series returns to the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN, for the first time in three years. The race is scheduled to be the twentieth visit by the series to the three-eighths mile, semi-banked, dirt oval on the Norman County Fairgrounds.

This Thursday night, September the 5th, the 22nd season of NLRA action comes to a close with the ninth running of the 'Prelude to the Johnny,' kicking off the three-day, thirteenth annual John Seitz Memorial, which honors our three-time series champion, the late great John Seitz, whom we lost in 2007. Thursday's race allows the Grand Forks based series to crown its' series champion on home turf, the high-banked, quarter-mile River Cities Speedway.

Schatz Completes Season Sweep Of NLRA With The Outlaws At River Cities

Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Fastlane Car Wash Rocket, won his third NLRA feature of the season Friday night at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. The win is his tenth career NLRA win, as he went on to win the World of Outlaws Sprint Car feature as well, the fourth time he has won both features on the same night.

This Sunday night, the NLRA returns to the Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon, ND, for the only appearance of 2019. This is scheduled to be the thirteenth appearance by the series at the semi-banked, quarter-mile oval on the Ransom County Fairgrounds.
