This will be the first time in the 16 year history of the Devils Lake Speedway, which started out as the SAAGA International Speedway in 2000, that Late Models and Sprint Cars have raced on the same night at the track.
This Saturday night, August the 20th, the NLRA will head west for the 19th time in series history to the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND. For the third time this season, the NLRA will share the stage with the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association.

Shane Edginton won on a last lap pass in turn four at the Jamestown Speedway on Saturday for his second career series victory, while Dustin Strand won his third NLRA feature victory in five races Sunday night at the Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, MN. Edginton Steals One at the Line in Jamestown Canadians Mike Balcaen, driver of the No. 10 Enns Brothers Black Diamond, and Dave Smith, in the No. 06 Polar Industries Capital lead the field to the green. Balcaen won the drag race to turn one, but Smith motored around the outside, and took the lead down the back stretch.
Dustin Strand won his third NLRA feature victory in five races Sunday night at the Buffalo River Race Park near Glyndon, MN. Strand started on the pole and lead all 25 laps for the victory, which is also his eighth career series triumph, tying him with Joey Pederson for eighth on the all-time wins list. Strand fended off advances by World of Outlaws Sprint Car Champion Donny Schatz, who finished second over Brad Seng, with Mike Balcaen and Cole Schill rounding out the top five. Brad Seng will continue to carry the point lead into Saturday night's double header with the NOSA Sprint Cars at the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND. Seng's lead will be 38 markers over Jamestown winner Shane Edginton, who finished sixth on Sunday night.

Shane Edginton won on a last lap pass in turn four, beating race long leader Mike Balcaen to the line for his second career NLRA series victory at the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND Saturday night. The margin of victory was .074 seconds. Brad Seng finished third, with Dave Smith and Ryan Corbett rounding out the top five. The races were delayed about an hour and a half after a rain shower in the just before five o'clock soaked the track and the pits, but the Jamestown Speedway track crew work hard to try to get the track back. Edginton was also the races hard charger, as he started fifth, passing four cars for the victory. Edginton also closed in on point leader Brad Seng, as he'll head into tonight's event at the Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, MN with a 38 point disadvantage to the two-time champion. Edginton won the NLRA debut in Glyndon in 2012.

Th NLRA and its' series regulars are set for a short track weekend, as the series returns to Jamestown on Saturday night, then heads east to take on the Buffalo River Race Park on Sunday.
On Saturday night, August the 13th, the NLRA will make its' second and final appearance this season, and 22nd overall, at Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND. The popular quarter-mile bullring on the Stutzman County Fairgrounds, produced a new winner in June as Zach Naastad won the NLRA season opener on June 11th.
Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom lead all 25 laps en route to his second NLRA feature win of the season Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. Seng's win is also his 33rd in his career, most all time on the NLRA wins list.
Seng and June Greenbush winner Cole Schill, driver of the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MasterSbilt, lead the field to the green, with Cole Schill taking the lead on the bottom in the first turns. Seng motored around the outside of Schill off of turn four to lead the first lap. |
